Generally speaking, storage cabinets have the following four purposes or purposes:
1. Prevent stored chemicals from being damaged by external forces.
2. Separate incompatible chemicals for storage.
3. After leakage, it can be collected.
4. When on fire, there is a certain fire resistance rating (at least 10 minutes) that allows personnel to evacuate or use firefighting facilities.
5. According to FM6050 and UL1275 standards, in the event of a fire, the storage cabinet can protect the stored materials for at least 10 minutes, and personnel can evacuate and initiate emergency response procedures. According to the European standard EN14470-1, based on different fire resistance times, it is divided into four categories: F15, F30, F60, and F90. Due to the many uncertain factors in the event of a fire (whether all personnel can safely evacuate and extinguish the fire within 10 minutes), increasing the fire resistance time of storage cabinets can provide more evacuation and response time.
Note: F15 represents a fire resistance time of 15 minutes, and so on.
